This isn't a watch-and-forget course, it is a full season coaching programme, designed to be used before, during and after your times on the slopes. 

The tutorials, the roadmap, the drills, the checklist challenges and the community group are all available whenever you need them.

You can study before a ski trip, review after a day on snow or work through the lessons on a quiet evening at home. If you have mobile data, you could even watch the videos from a chairlift (but don't forget to enjoy the view!)

Most students find that just 1 hour of preparation before a ski trip makes a significant difference to what they achieve on snow.

How to use it: Find your level on the roadmap, watch the relevant tutorial, select the appropriate drill and then have exercises and challenges to complete next time you're on the snow. 

Repeat the process as you progress through the roadmap. 

The key thing to keep in mind: your goal for the season is to film yourself completing the Intermediate and Advanced Skier's Challenge Criteria (your graduation exam!)

The coaching programme lasts for the full winter ski season until the end of April - the more you use it, the more you get out of it.

This coaching is designed to help wobbly or nervous skiers become confident and advanced.

If you are already a confident level 60+, much of the content will be refreshing and clarifying stuff you may already know rather than introducing new concepts. 

That said, I do get quite a few students at higher levels enrolling so they can improve their own teaching and instructing skills.

Beneath each video lesson there is a comments section where you can ask questions directly to me - about the content, the drills, the concepts, technique clarifications etc. I'm happy to connect and read and respond to these throughout the season. It's a great way for you to get specific guidance and access to a level 4 ski instructor without the price tag of a private lesson. 

I also encourage you to share videos of your skiing in the community for accountability with your fellow students - going through the objective criteria I give you will really help you understand what it takes to reach the next level. 

I'll also keep an eye on the videos in the community and help you to determine what level you have and if you have passed the tests. 

However, please be clear that I cannot guarantee personal video analysis and feedback to everyone. I spend long days on snow 6 days a week throughout winter so I can't promise something I would struggle to deliver during the ski season to a high standard for everyone.

But if you value your time and your progression to more advanced skiing, trying to learn amongst the chaos and noise of social media and youtube is a terrible plan. 

Conversely, following a structured coaching programme on a dedicated platform is a fundamentally different learning experience

Youtube is disorganised and full of adverts, distractions and contradicting advice. 

This programme gives you a clear framework, with designated challenges to achieve and drills to help you get there. All of my tutorials are organised in order with zero adverts or distractions. Being able to ask me questions throughout as well as having a community platform for video sharing and accountability with your peers offers a vastly more effective transformation.

And last but not least - the graduation exam. The whole point of this programme is to help you break out of the intermediate plateau. Watching random videos on youtube almost certainly won't get you there. But having all the structured training building you up to the precise tasks of the graduation exam gives you the best chance you can get.

Also, I don't really have time to engage with comments on social media or youtube - so if you want to ask me questions, the comments section beneath each lesson in this programme is the best place to do so.

The research on learning motor skills is clear: that visualisation and mental rehearsal meaningfully accelerate physical skill acquisition. 

Watching instructional ski tutorials and arriving on the slopes with insight and a pre-thought out plan is a far more effective approach than just doing the skiing part on its own.

Break Out of the Intermediate Plateau. This Season. (the "Programme") is an online ski coaching programme provided by Alpine Tutorials Ltd. It provides educational materials including tutorial videos, self-assessment checklists, ski drills, practical on-snow challenges, and a community group, designed to help intermediate skiers progress toward advanced skiing.

2. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU MUST UNDERSTAND

SKIING IS DANGEROUS. PEOPLE ARE SERIOUSLY INJURED AND KILLED SKIING EVERY YEAR.

This Programme includes suggested on-snow drills, exercises and challenges — including skiing black runs, mogul fields and other challenging terrain. These suggestions are generic educational content produced for a mass audience. George Treble and Alpine Tutorials Ltd cannot see you ski, cannot assess your individual ability, fitness or readiness, and cannot determine whether any specific drill, challenge or terrain is appropriate for you personally.

You and you alone are responsible for every decision you make on the mountain. You and you alone are responsible for assessing whether you are physically capable, technically ready, and in appropriate conditions to attempt any drill, challenge or terrain suggested in this Programme. If you are unsure, do not attempt it.

No content in this Programme constitutes a personal recommendation that you specifically should attempt any particular challenge or terrain. The graduation challenges — including skiing a black run and skiing a mogul field — are goals to work toward only when you personally feel ready. They are not instructions to attempt these immediately or without proper assessment of your own ability and the conditions.

3. Assumption of Risk

By enrolling in the Programme, you fully and voluntarily acknowledge and accept that:

• Skiing and snowboarding involve serious inherent risks and dangers that may result in accident, injury, illness or death
• These risks exist regardless of the skill level of the participant or the quality of instruction received
• Risks include but are not limited to collision with other skiers or objects, avalanche, falls, equipment failure, variable and unpredictable snow and weather conditions, and the physical demands of skiing steep, icy, mogulled or off-piste terrain
• The on-snow drills and challenges suggested in this Programme carry real physical risk
• You assume full and complete responsibility for all risks associated with your participation in any skiing or snowboarding activity undertaken in connection with this Programme

• Cannot observe, assess or evaluate your individual skiing ability, fitness, health or readiness
• Does not make any personal recommendation that you specifically should attempt any particular challenge, drill or terrain
• Does not guarantee that following this Programme will result in any specific improvement or outcome
• Is not responsible for how you interpret or apply any content in this Programme

5. Participant Liability Waiver

In consideration of being permitted to access and participate in the Programme, I hereby:

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Alpine Tutorials Ltd, George Treble, their employees, agents, contractors, affiliates and any other associated parties (collectively the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury or death arising from my participation in the Programme or any skiing or snowboarding activity I undertake in connection with it, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

Indemnification

I further agree to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS the Released Parties from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising from my participation in the Programme or any skiing or snowboarding activity I undertake in connection with it.

Acknowledgement

I confirm that:

• I am physically fit and capable of participating in skiing activities
• I have no medical condition that makes skiing inadvisable without professional medical clearance
• I am at least 18 years of age
• I will not attempt any drill, challenge or terrain suggested in this Programme unless I personally judge myself ready and capable of doing so safely
• I understand that skiing is dangerous and I voluntarily accept all associated risks
• I have read this entire document and agree to be bound by it

6. Insurance

Alpine Tutorials Ltd strongly recommends that all participants hold comprehensive personal insurance covering skiing accidents, personal injury, medical expenses and mountain rescue costs before undertaking any skiing activity. Alpine Tutorials Ltd accepts no responsibility for any costs arising from injury, accident or rescue.

7. Eligibility

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. By enrolling you confirm you meet this requirement.

8. Intellectual Property

All Programme materials including videos, images, documents and challenges are the intellectual property of Alpine Tutorials Ltd and may not be reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

9. Modifications

Alpine Tutorials Ltd reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Programme constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

PARTICIPANT LIABILITY WAIVER — CONFIRMATION
